Further to the discussion of panic mentioned by Dennis and John Bower, one thing I realized early during the pandemic was how that "Keep Calm and Carry On" meme quickly vanished and has yet to make a comeback. Remember how we saw that everywhere for about a decade or more --- mugs, tote bags, daily planners, motivational posters, t-shirt parodies. Then "the event" came and everyone hid their "Keep Calm" paraphernalia.
